Private Sales

In addition to our primary business of instrument auctions, Tarisio will on occasion assist customers in buying instruments and bows by private treaty outside of the typical auction arena.

The flexibility to try instruments and bows outside our scheduled auctions can offer great advantages to discerning musicians: the items we offer privately have been adjusted to the highest standards and can be tried for longer periods of time.

Our years of experience and the knowledge of Tarisio’s highly respected experts enable us to guarantee the authenticity and condition of the instruments we offer for sale.

There is no buyer's premium charged on private sales.

Our private sales department provides two services:

1) We can offer you instruments and bows that we have on consignment for private rather than auction sale.

2) After determining your requirements and budget, we can draw from our large network of auction consignors and propose instruments and bows for you to try.
