Ethan Ladd manages consignor and bidder relations, conducts Tarisio's private sales, and oversees office operations. He holds degrees in the Music Industry and Business from Northeastern University. His passion for fine string instruments blossomed during a 4-year tenure on the sales staff of Reuning & Son Violins in Boston. He received encouragement and training from Christopher Reuning and was installed as Tarisio New York's Executive Manager in 2008. Carlos Tome
Business Development

Carlos Tome coordinates auction viewings, consignment trips and advertising.

Upon moving to New York eight years ago, Carlos has been working in the arts administration previous positions include Booking and Public Relations Associate at Kirshbaum Demler and Associates and Managing Director at the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York.

Carlos grew up in Madrid where he studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music, as a freelance violinist, Carlos performs with numerous orchestras throughout the New York metro area.

Tucker Densley

Tucker Densley
Acquisitions Consultant

Tucker Densley grew up in Great Britain, Southeast Asia and the United States and became interested in photography and instruments as a teenager. He later attended college in Rhode Island and Utah and then completed his studies at the Violinmaking School of America in 1995. He worked as a restorer and in-house photographer at Reuning and Son Violins in Boston for 14 years.

Since 2009 he has collaborated with Tarisio as a consultant for acquisitions and consignments.

Emily Orr

Emily Orr
Accounts Manager

Emily Orr supervises the post-auction process for Tarisio’s clientele. In addition to her diverse background in restaurant ownership and film & theater production, she holds a Master’s in Anthropology from CUNY-Hunter College and is currently working on a Certificate from CUNY-Baruch College in Advanced Accounting and Forensic Accounting.

Marie Turini-Viard

Marie Turini-Viard
Property Manager

Marie Turini-Viard manages Tarisio's inventory of instruments and bows and assists with auction inquiries. She recently graduated with a BA in Musicology from La Sorbonne and a BS in Physics, specializing in mechanics of continuous media. She handles bidder inquiries with an empirical and efficient approach while drawing on her own experience as a musician. She was a freelance violinist in France until she moved to New York in October 2010 and began working Tarisio.

Robert Bailey

Robert Bailey is responsible for photographing all of the auctions items in addition to managing the digital archives. He studied photography at Ohio University and the International Center of Photography. Robert’s fine art work has been exhibited at the Asia Society, the National Arts Club, and other respected galleries across the country. Kara coordinates the shipping and receiving for Tarisio. Originally from Iowa, Kara started playing the violin when she was 10. She attended Millikin University in Illinois and graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance. Acting brought her to New York after college, and her love of playing brought her to Tarisio. She has traveled the US and the World performing in National Tours, Regional Productions, and on Cruise Ships.

Nicole Arena-Davies
Receptionist

Nicole Arena-Davies is a native New Yorker who was first introduced to the world of music through the family piano. After persistently asking her parents for violin lessons, to which they eventually agreed, she paid a visit to William Monical & Son in Staten Island, NY. This was a visit that would leave a lasting impression and spark a love for stringed instruments. Nicole continued with both piano and violin studies which ultimately led her to attend Berklee College of Music. Robert Lund

Robert Lund

Robert Lund created a new website for Tarisio in 2008, and is responsible for all of its complex operations, including a separate in-house website where staff members maintain the ever-growing database of instruments, customers, and online financial transactions. A musician since his youth, Robert has built his own harpsichord, served as a church organist and choirmaster, and played keyboards in various bands throughout his life. He enjoys the overlap between his two life interests afforded by the Tarisio project.
