Fine Instruments and Bows

Tarisio holds four sales of fine instruments and bows each year, two run from New York and two from London. For each one there is a complete published catalog with full-color photographs of most lots. A full catalog is also available on the internet shortly before the sale, including detailed photographs and descriptions of every item.

There is a public viewing before each sale, held in London (European sales) or in New York and Boston (North American sales). Potential buyers are also welcome to arrange appointments to view specific items in the Tarisio offices.

The sales are held online, allowing buyers the flexibility and privacy of bidding from their own computers. Bidding is easy and it’s quick to register.

Tarisio’s sales have included instruments by makers such as Stradivari, Guadagnini, Amati, Guarneri, Gagliano, Balestrieri, Bisiach, Camilli, Ceruti, Fagnola, Grancino, Landolfi, Storioni, Scarampella and Vuillaume to name a few. Bows have included examples by Tourte, Sartory, Peccatte, Fetique, Lamy, Maline and Pajeot.
